Dr Stephanie attends the AVA conference

Dr Stephanie recently attended the Australian Veterinary Association conference in Adelaide.  There were local and international speakers, workshops, scientific lessons and Veterinary trade exhibition. 

Dr Stephanie attended dentistry, behaviour , nutrition and practice management streams.

All the staff, and in turn our patients, benefit from staff attending these conferences.  It is always great to hear about the latest studies or technological advances.

We have been sharing some new research on cat nutrition and behaviour.  It is advisable to provide 30-40% of your adult cats food in the form of raw meat such as beef or lamb strips or chicken wings and drumsticks..  This fulfills the behavioural component of feeding and helps to keep teeth clean, keep cats leaner and reduce stress and boredom. it is still vital that kittens receive 90% good quality kitten food but introducing them to alternative foods at a young age is useful.
