Good News for Old Friends
The good news is that we love them our old Faithful friends. One of the lovely gifts being a vet gives you is the opportunity to know these old dogs and see the love between them and their owners.
What do you do if you lock the dog AND the keys in the car? We found out today at the clinic, when this actually happened. We were surprised and delighted to find that when the owner rang the NRMA, that they actually respond REALLY fast if you tell them that there is a dog or a child locked in the car. Our lovely little puppy that was locked in the car by accident today, was free within minutes. Good on you NRMA!!
There have been cases of Distemper at Coffs Harbour and Kempsey. Pet owners are good at keeping their pets covered against some nasty viruses and Distemper has largely been reduced in the Australian animal population. Outbreaks like this remind us that we must not become complacent. The more pets are vaccinated, the more protection there is for all pets. Unvaccinated dogs are at risk of contracting this potentially deadly virus.
Mr Prickles has a wee problem.
This is the story of a wonderful little Guinea Pig named Mr Prickles. He was brought into the clinic by a woman and her lovely daughter who were very concerned about Mr Prickles. His owners had been very observant and had noticed that there was a bit of blood when Mr Prickles did a wee.
